About the role
RXO is a leading provider of transportation solutions, utilizing cutting-edge technology to revolutionize the industry. As an Accountant at RXO, you will play a crucial role in ensuring accurate and timely accounting processes.
Responsibilities
- Accurate, complete, and timely compilation and recording of accounting information
- Analysis and reporting in accordance with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and company policies and procedures
- Support month-end, quarter-end, and year-end accounting closes for functional areas of responsibility, including related SOX compliance and the external financial statement audit
- Accurately maintain general ledger accounts and respective reconciliations, including researching, understanding, and interpreting accounts and underlying activity, trends, and variances across a broad scope of accounting functional areas (AR/AP, allocations, prepaids, accruals, subledgers details, and intercompany)
- Prepare and review journal entries in accordance with company policies
- Support the preparation and distribution of monthly accounting, financial, and management reporting as well as ad hoc analyses
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent related work or military experience
- 1-2 years of accounting or financial reporting experience
- Experience in Microsoft Excel
- CPA certification (or in progress) or master’s degree in accounting, Finance, or business
- Public accounting experience
- Experience with related systems such as Oracle, HFM, LeaseAccelerator, and Blackline
- Intermediate Excel skills (comfortable analyzing data using various functions such as VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP, SUMIFS, Pivot tables)
