Accountant

Responsibilities

• Aid in daily accounting operations and maintain accuracy and alignment of general ledger activity with company standards.
• Perform recurring bank and balance sheet reconciliations to ensure financial records are fully supported.
• Create and review journal entries, analyze account activity, and facilitate a smooth month-end close process.
• Manage financial records, reporting schedules, and accounts payable documentation with meticulous attention to detail.
• Coordinate weekly payment processing and assist with invoice handling in a high-volume environment.
• Respond to audit requests by gathering necessary documentation, explaining account activity, and supporting both internal and external reviews.
• Generate ad hoc financial reports and analyses for management to aid in decision-making and operational planning.
• Collaborate with the Controller and department leaders to address inquiries, enhance workflows, and provide additional administrative support.

Requirements

• A minimum of 2 years of accounting experience with a bachelor's degree in accounting or finance.
• A background in manufacturing accounting is highly desirable.
• Proven experience with month-end close, general ledger maintenance, journal entries, and account reconciliations.
• The ability to perform bank reconciliations and handle detailed financial records with exceptional accuracy.
• Comfortable working independently in a supportive environment with minimal supervision and a strong sense of personal responsibility.
• Strong problem-solving skills capable of identifying practical and efficient solutions.
• Effective communication skills to interact with department heads and other internal stakeholders.
• An interest in broadening one's accounting knowledge and understanding of the entire accounting cycle.
