Accountant

About the role

We are looking for an Accountant to support core accounting operations. The ideal candidate will be detail-oriented, managing day-to-day financial activity, maintaining accurate records, and helping ensure timely month-end processes. This role contributes across payables, receivables, and general ledger work while partnering with internal teams to keep accounting functions organized and compliant.

Responsibilities

• Process vendor invoices, verify supporting documentation, and prepare payments in accordance with company procedures.
• Record customer transactions, monitor outstanding balances, and assist with collections to maintain healthy receivables.
• Prepare and post journal entries with a high level of accuracy to support monthly accounting close activities.
• Reconcile bank statements and investigate discrepancies to ensure financial records remain complete and reliable.
• Maintain general ledger accounts and review activity for accuracy, consistency, and proper classification.
• Assist with month-end and year-end close tasks, including account analysis and balance sheet reconciliations.
• Support financial reporting by gathering data, organizing schedules, and providing documentation for internal review.
• Work with cross-functional stakeholders to resolve billing, payment, and account-related issues in a timely manner.

Requirements

• Hands-on accounting experience with strengths in accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger support.
• Proven ability to prepare journal entries and perform bank reconciliations accurately and efficiently.
• Solid understanding of fundamental accounting principles and routine close processes.
• Strong attention to detail with the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
• Proficiency using accounting systems and Microsoft Excel for data entry, tracking, and analysis.
• Clear written and verbal communication skills for coordinating with internal teams and external contacts.
