Responsibilities
- Manage incoming correspondence and organize financial documents so accounting records remain current and accessible.
- Prepare and issue invoices accurately and on schedule, ensuring client-facing materials are completed with care.
- Generate recurring and ad hoc data reports to support accounting activities and business visibility.
- Enter, clean, and maintain financial data in Excel, including the use of spreadsheets to organize large data sets.
- Aid in establishing and refining QuickBooks Online records from the ground up to support reliable day-to-day accounting operations.
- Help build efficient workflows that move financial information into QuickBooks and produce clear outputs for clients.
- Contribute to month-end close activities, including journal entries, reconciliations, and general ledger support.
- Support accounts payable and accounts receivable tasks to help maintain accurate cash flow tracking and vendor or customer records.
- Develop and document standard operating procedures to strengthen consistency and improve accounting processes.
Requirements
- 3+ years of accounting experience in a detail-focused business environment.
- Hands-on experience with QuickBooks Online, including setup and ongoing maintenance.
- Proven background supporting multiple month-end close cycles with accuracy and timeliness.
- Experience creating or improving accounting workflows, systems, or standard operating procedures.
- Working knowledge of accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger activity, journal entries, and bank reconciliations.
- Strong Excel skills, with pivot table experience considered an advantage.
- Ability to manage detailed information carefully while balancing several responsibilities at once.
