What You'll Do
- Financial Reporting & Month-End Close: Assist with the preparation of monthly GAAP financial statements. Prepare month-end journal entries and balance sheet reconciliations. Analyze account balances and investigate variances. Support monthly reporting package preparation.
- Project Accounting & Revenue Recognition: Support project accounting activities across multiple business units. Assist with monthly revenue recognition processes. Coordinate time-and-material and fixed-price project billings. Support sales and use tax reporting requirements. Prepare monthly operational and financial reports.
- Accounts Receivable & Billing: Maintain and review accounts receivable records. Apply customer payments accurately and timely. Provide backup support for billing, accounts receivable, and accounts payable functions. Assist with account reconciliations and collections activities as needed.
- Process Improvement & Business Support: Assist with financial audits and income tax preparation. Develop reporting metrics that support business decision-making. Become a subject matter expert on company accounting systems and assist with employee training. Support special projects and continuous process improvement initiatives.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Accounting
- Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting
- Exceptional business math and analytical skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
