Accountant

Responsibilities

• Prepare weekly/monthly journal entries and branch-level profit & loss (P&L) statements
• Aid with month-end closing process and financial statement preparation
• Contribute to financial planning processes (annual budget & monthly forecasting)
• Gain understanding in job costing methods for internal labor, material, and equipment
• Support cash flow forecasting and treasury management; daily ACH tracking and recording
• Maintain and record fixed assets
• Assist with external audit requests
• Participate in shared services
• Develop and maintain ERP reports and system maintenance/troubleshooting
• Assist with ad-hoc or impromptu assignments directed from management

Qualifications

• Strong individual looking to develop into a leader and long-term contributor to our organization
• Prior experience in an Accountant role in a professional atmosphere, or equivalent education
• Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or similar, completed or in progress
• CPA, CMA, or CCIFP certification preferred
• Positive safety attitude and personal integrity – both are non-negotiable
• Strong analytical mindset and ability to work in fast-paced environment
• Advanced computer/technical skills including experience with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PPT, Teams)
• Enthusiasm for training in other software applications as needed
• Ability to prioritize various daily responsibilities
• Ability to work under pressure in a deadline-driven environment and adapt to changing requirements with a positive attitude
• Self-motivated, proactive, and an effective team player
• Strong written and verbal communication skills with a growing financial acumen
