About the role
The North Dakota Department of Transportation is seeking an Account Budget Specialist II to join the Financial Management Division. This role plays a crucial part in creating safe, efficient, and innovative transportation solutions for communities across the state.
Responsibilities
- Review payment vouchers and employee expenses, correct as necessary
- Enter vouchers for payment
- Maintain vendor and employee data in SharePoint and FileNet
- Analyze and correct coding on p-card transactions
- Payroll Accountant: Reconcile vendor statements and insurance billings, correct discrepancies
- Upload state fleet vouchers and review for accuracy
Requirements
- Excellent communication skills
- Experience with preparing worksheets, preparing fiscal analysis, reviewing expenditures, and problem-solving
- Bachelor's degree in accounting or related field with a major in accounting
- One year of professional accounting and/or auditing experience
