About The Job

Candidates must be located in the DC/MD/VA region. (Occasional meetings at a MedStar location may be required).

Primary Duties And Responsibilities

• Analyzes data and accurately completes monthly journal entries.
• Provides supporting documentation of analysis and journal entries.
• Affords assistance in the evaluation of existing accounting operations and procedures and recommends process improvements to the manager.
• Affords assistance in the preparation and review of financial statements on a monthly basis.
• Affords assistance in the monthly analysis and interpretation of accounting records for use by management.
• Completes monthly account reconciliation and account analysis in a timely manner.
• Solves issues identified in the reconciliation process in a timely manner.
• Completes monthly journal entries according to the standard month end close schedule.
• Maintains records of routine accounting transactions.

Minimal Qualifications

• Education: Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance required.
• Experience: 1-2 years related experience in a public or private accounting setting or healthcare or multi-entity setting required.

This position has a hiring range of USD $65,062.00 - USD $117,291.00 /Yr.
