Position Overview
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Accountant to join our team. The Accountant will be responsible for supporting daily accounting operations, maintaining accurate financial records, preparing financial reports, and assisting with month-end and year-end close activities. Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and post journal entries.
- Reconcile bank accounts, general ledger accounts, and balance sheet accounts.
- Assist with month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close processes.
- Maintain accurate financial records and supporting documentation.
- Prepare financial reports and variance analyses.
- Process and review accounts payable and accounts receivable transactions.
- Monitor cash flow and assist with account reconciliations.
- Support budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning activities.
- Assist with audits and tax preparation.
- Ensure compliance with company policies, accounting standards, and regulatory requirements.
- Analyze financial data and identify trends or discrepancies.
- Collaborate with internal departments to resolve accounting issues and improve processes.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field preferred.
- 2+ years of accounting experience preferred.
- Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting software.
- Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
- Effective written and verbal communication skills.
Preferred Experience
- General ledger accounting.
- Financial statement preparation.
- Month-end close and account reconciliations.
- Budgeting and forecasting.
- ERP systems such as NetSuite, SAP, Oracle, Dynamics, Sage, QuickBooks, or similar platforms.
Compensation & Benefits
- Salary: $60,000 - $90,000 annually, depending on experience.
