Accountant

Major Areas of Responsibility

• Maintain AR and AP accounting records on a daily basis.
• Aid with month-end financial postings.
• Post journal entries.
• Help with accounts receivable, payable, and bank statement reconciliation.
• Aid with audits.
• Reconcile income statement and balance sheet accounts.
• Aid the Payroll Coordinator in payroll administration tasks.
• Aid with the preparation of yearly closing statements.

Required Skills/Abilities

• Ability to use accounting software to record, store, and analyze financial data.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, Google Docs, or similar software.
• Basic understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting standards.
• Proficiency in accounting software such as Sage, QuickBooks, SAP, or similar platforms.
• Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in handling financial data.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Effective time management and ability to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
• Solid written and verbal communication skills for reporting and team collaboration.
• Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
• Knowledge of administrative and clerical procedures.

Education And Experience

• BS Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• Minimum of two years of detail-oriented experience in Accounting or Finance preferred.
