About the role

The Fairmont Scottsdale Princess is Arizona’s largest and longest running AAA Five Diamond hotel, offering luxury and world-class hospitality. The hotel features 750 guestrooms, over 300,000 square feet of meeting space, four award-winning restaurants, six sparkling heated pools, and a luxurious Well & Being Spa. Events such as the WM Phoenix Open, Easter at the Princess, Summer at the Princess, and Christmas at the Princess are held here.

Responsibilities

• Cook interdepartmentally as it relates to group and guest issues
• Participate in training activities to improve knowledge and skills
• Communicate well with all clients and guests, anticipating and resolving issues in a timely and efficient manner
• Maintain and prepare month-end balance sheet account reconciliations
• Prepare and generate timely group, catering, and wedding billing and process payments
• Inspect in-house accounts to ensure adherence to resort's credit policy and assist with collection efforts as necessary
• Monitor accounts receivable (aging) as required
• Offer professional, friendly, and engaging service
• Aid in month end reporting and procedures
• Follow departmental policies and procedures
• Follow all safety policies
• Perform other duties as assigned

Qualifications

• Hospitality, accounting, or equivalent experience
• Computer literacy in Microsoft Windows applications or relevant computer applications
• Opera PMS experience desirable
• University/College degree in a related discipline (asset)
• Excellent communication and organizational skills
• Strong interpersonal and problem-solving abilities
• Ability to multitask in a high-speed environment
• Attention to detail a must
• Highly responsible and reliable
• Ability to work cohesively as part of a team
• Remain calm and courteous at all times
