Accountant
Position Summary
You'll play a vital role in our financial operations as part of the Enterprise Accounting team. In this role, you'll have a hand in key areas such as general ledger accounting, financial report creation and analysis, lease accounting, and share-in deposit management responsibilities.
What You Will Do
- Prepare and analyze general account reconciliations
- Perform a variety of corporate accounting functions, including fixed asset accounting, deposit management, account research, and support for compliance reporting
- Manage lease accounting activities in accordance with ASC 842, including recording monthly rent expense and right-of-use (ROU) asset and liability activity
- Enter monthly lease and building expense activity into Deltek Vantagepoint for payment processing
- Review and reconcile annual operating cost settlements received from lessors
- Maintain lease records and initiate new lease activity within the lease accounting system
- Support accounting activities related to mergers and acquisitions
- Prepare, analyze, and distribute financial reports for the accounting team, financial leadership, and other business partners
- Participate in special projects and other initiatives as assigned by the Financial Accounting leadership team
- Contribute to continuous improvement efforts by helping identify opportunities to leverage AI, ERP systems, and other technologies to enhance accounting processes
Your Qualifications
- Associate degree or bachelor's degree in accounting is preferred
- Previous experience in a role with multiple property leases and recording entries consistent with the requirements of ASC 842 is preferred but not required
- Minimum 3 years of relevant accounting experience with AEC industry is preferred
- Ability to work cross-functionally within various operating systems
