Accountant
About the role
The Accountant plays a key role in the organization’s corporate accounting and financial close activities. This role is responsible for performing corporate closing processes and tasks with a moderate degree of complexity and autonomy, and ensuring compliance with US GAAP. The Accountant will partner cross-functionally to drive close efficiencies, strengthen internal controls, and support continuous improvements in accounting systems and reporting.
Responsibilities
- Perform corporate closing processes and tasks with a moderate degree of complexity and autonomy
- Assist in completing company wide consolidation, including intercompany eliminations, balance validations, and cash flow consolidation
- Calculate, create, and enter journal entries into the general ledger accurately and timely
- Maintain monthly close task checklist to ensure timely completion; proactively follow up with business partners on outstanding items and overdue reconciliations
- Prepare timely and accurate account reconciliations; actively manage assigned accounts by clearing settled transactions and investigating and resolving reconciling items
- Execute consolidation process in BPC; ensure consolidation administrative tasks are completed timely and accurately; work with Financial Systems team and/or IT to resolve consolidation issues
- Collaborate with Finance, FP&A, and other business partners to streamline close processes and implement best practices that reduce the days-to-close
- Partner with Sr Accountants to create, maintain, and change account, profit center, cost center, and internal orders in SAP
- Support initiatives to optimize accounting processes, enhance automation, and improve reliability and speed of financial reporting
- Prepare annual reporting packages, schedules, and supporting documentation to support the annual financial statement audit
- Assist with front-line support for general SAP related questions and testing new SAP functionality

Qualifications
- Education/Certifications: Bachelor's Degree
- Experience: 2+ years of relevant work experience
- Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: Knowledge of a large scale ERP platform, Understanding of US GAAP, Understanding of SOX, Strong analytical and problem solving skills with high attention to detail, Comfortable managing multiple priorities and adapting to shifting deadlines
Preferred Qualifications
- Education/Certifications: Master's in Accounting or MBA, CPA (Licensed or Registered)
- Experience: Public Accounting
- Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: SAP ECC or other large-scale ERP platform, Business Planning & Consolidation (BPC), Advanced Excel skills and proficiency in financial systems, Understanding of SOX
Pay
The pay range for this position is $76,600.00 - $123,775.00; base pay offered may vary depending on a number of factors including, but not limited to, the position offered, location, education, training, and/or experience.
