Position's Contributions to Work Group
- Support work volume related to two US based Insurance Companies and in general to month end closing team
- Ensure timely payment of premium taxes, assessments and fees
Typical Task Breakdown
- Compilation of NAIC Statutory Basis Financial Statements
- Booking of Journal Entries into Oracle
- Performance of Account Reconciliations
- Research and analysis of financial transactions
- Coordination and process of premium tax payments, as well as assessments and fees for the US based Insurance Companies
Education & Experience Required
- 5-7 years of experience required (will accept a candidate who has more than 7 years of experience if they are the right candidate)
- Bachelor's degree required, preferably in Accounting/Accounting Concentration; a bachelor's degree in another field will suffice as long as the candidate has accounting experience in their career
Top Skills
- Ability to work independently
- Able to use IT based tools (i.e. Microsoft applications, ERP systems)
- Ability to communicate clearly and concisely
Additional Technical Skills
- Knowledge of GAAP accounting and month end closing processes
- Strong ability to use Microsoft Excel, Word, and Power BI
- Ability to use ERP based accounting systems (i.e. Oracle)
- Application of financial analytical skills
- Knowledge of NAIC statutory accounting principles for insurance companies

Pay
$33.00 - $34.00 /hr. Non-exempt positions are eligible for overtime at a rate of 1.5 times the base hourly rate for all hours worked in excess of 40 in a work week, or as required by state or local law. Final offer amounts, within the base pay set forth above, are determined by factors including your relevant skills, education and experience.
