Accountant / Analyst I

Daifuku Airport America Corporation is a subsidiary of Daifuku North America, a group company of Daifuku in Japan – the largest material handling company in the world. The company designs, engineers, manufactures, and services innovative automated material handling systems, including conveyors, automatic guided vehicles, automated storage & retrieval systems, and integrated controls for automotive plants, airports, and warehouses.

Position Summary

Provide general support of financial transactions. This position reports to the Accounting Manager and is responsible for the accuracy and timely preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual reporting.

Major Areas of Responsibility

• Prepare and complete month‑end closing and reconciliation.
• Maintain account ledgers by posting account transactions.
• Verify accounts by reconciling statements and transactions.
• Resolve account discrepancies by investigating documentation.
• Provide general administrative support for assigned sections.
• Maintain confidential information.

Basic Broad Knowledge

• Computer Programs – strong working knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
• English Language – knowledge of structure and content of English, including spelling, grammar, and composition.

Education & Experience

Bachelor’s degree is preferred. 1–3 years of accounting experience required; accounts payable experience is a plus. Advanced knowledge of the MS Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) and experience with accounting software are desired. SAP knowledge and experience are preferred.

Demonstrated Physical Abilities

Remain stationary for 50 % of the time; move throughout the office to access file cabinets and equipment; operate a computer and other productivity machinery; inspect documents; communicate verbally; read and assess forms and correspondence.
