Account Solution Engineer - Department of War (All Levels)
About the role
We are seeking a Solution or Sales Engineer with 7+ years of experience in the defense sector. The ideal candidate should have hands-on experience with Agentforce, Data Cloud, and Salesforce Platform, as well as practical AI fluency and strong written and verbal communication skills.
Responsibilities
- Engage directly with DoW customers to understand mission requirements and technical environment
- Map requirements to the Salesforce portfolio and design tailored demos and proof-of-concept solutions
- Architect and prototype Agentforce solutions for DoW environments, including agentic workflow design and production readiness considerations
- Clearly articulate Salesforce's security and compliance posture to technical evaluators and program offices
- Support RFI/RFP responses by contributing technical content and architecture documentation
- Partner with account executives and customer success to support pipeline and pursuit strategy
- Build reusable POC assets, playbooks, and best-practice guides to scale delivery across the DoW customer base
- Feed Voice of the Customer insights back to Salesforce Product and inform messaging plays with Product Marketing
Requirements
Required:
- U.S. citizenship required; ability to obtain a DoW security clearance preferred
- Experience with Apex, Lightning Web Components, or equivalent engineering background
- Familiarity with GovCloud, AWS GovCloud, or Azure Government environments
PREFERRED:
- Experience with agentic engineering tooling (Cursor, Claude Code, Agentforce Vibes, or similar)
- Preferred Salesforce certifications: Administrator, Sales Cloud, Service Cloud, Platform Developer, or Public Sector Solutions
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, MIS, required.
Skills
Hands-on Agentforce, Data Cloud, and Salesforce Platform builder
Practical AI fluency: working knowledge of LLMs, RAG/grounding, agentic system design, and production behavior
Deep discovery and MVP scoping: able to run technical and business discovery, define agentic use cases, set measurable success criteria, and produce a feasible architecture and activation plan
Strong written, verbal, and whiteboard communication skills
Ability to work cross-functionally in a fast-paced, team-selling environment

The typical base salary range for this position is $113,330 - $210,910 annually. Specific ranges vary by location.
