About the Department

The Account Services Department facilitates processes between Claims, Underwriting, and brokers, handling tasks ranging from rating services to audits to operational guidance. The department offers abundant career opportunities with varying levels of specialty, cross-training, and collaboration.

About the Role

As an Account Services Assistant (internally known as “Premium Audit Assistant”), you will provide administrative support to keep Premium Audit operations running smoothly. This entry-level role involves coordinating the lifecycle of excess standalone and out-of-state primary workers’ compensation audits by ordering audits, tracking progress, maintaining documentation, and ensuring timely communication with brokers, third-party audit vendors, underwriting, and internal business partners.

You will organize multiple priorities while following established procedures and service standards, helping deliver quality work that supports departmental and corporate objectives.

This position is classified as Non-Exempt under federal wage and hour laws. You will be required to clock in and out for all hours worked and will be eligible for overtime pay for any hours worked over 40 in a given workweek.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate the lifecycle of excess standalone and out-of-state primary workers’ compensation audits.
  • Order audits and track their progress.
  • Maintain documentation and ensure timely communication with brokers, third-party audit vendors, underwriting, and internal business partners.
  • Organize multiple priorities while adhering to established procedures and service standards.
  • Support departmental and corporate objectives through quality work.
  • Protect the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of information and technology assets against unauthorized disclosure, destruction, and/or alteration, in accordance with Safety National policies, standards, and procedures.

Requirements

  • Must be presently authorized to work in the U.S. without requiring work authorization sponsorship by our company for this position now or in the future.
  • This position allows for a hybrid work schedule with a minimum of 3 days per week in our St. Louis Corporate Office (1832 Schuetz Rd, Saint Louis, MO).

  • Experience using the Microsoft Office Suite.

  • Ability to prioritize multiple assignments and manage competing deadlines.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills with sound problem-solving abilities.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively in a team environment.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Administrative or office support experience.
  • Experience supporting operational processes in an insurance, financial services, or professional services environment.
  • Ability to build productive relationships with internal and external business partners.
  • Interest in identifying opportunities to improve workflows and processes.

Pay

The target base salary range for this position is $41,000 to $52,500. Compensation for the successful candidate will consider the candidate’s particular combination of knowledge, skills, competencies, experience, and geographic location.

Schedule

This is a hybrid role requiring a minimum of 3 days per week in the St. Louis Corporate Office.
