Account Representative
General Function
The Account Representative will manage existing accounts in their assigned territory with Midland Optical. Responsible for sales performance, customer relations, growing sales volume for lab services in assigned accounts. Will handle acquisition and growth of their ECP's business and loyalty through positioning and delivery of branded products, marketing strategies, service excellence and technical superiority. The Account Representative will utilize corporate tools and applications to document, plan, monitor, and meet sales objectives within their territory. The Account Representative will develop and maintain strong working relationships with customer service and lab personnel to ensure successful customer relations. The Account Representative will consistently achieve established sales goals, managed care optimization and practice growth. The Account Representative communicates on an ongoing basis with the VP Sales on personal development, sales results, and action plans.
Major Duties and Responsibilities
- Review cycle plan, market conditions, KPIs and customer needs with Manager to plan territory sales strategy, refine call schedules; Builds and implements a strategy for all accounts and creates in-depth strategy for key accounts and review territory plans
- Partner with Specialists to drive branded growth initiatives, training opportunities, and influence
- Develop existing account base (60%) and gain new accounts via prospecting (40%)
- Partners with lab personnel to identify and understand account opportunities and adjust call schedules and business plans accordingly
- Determine customer needs and positioning Essilor’s premium branded products and Customer Development Group programs and services to effectively meet each customer need
- Use analytical tools and software applications effectively to manage Territory accounts (SFDC, Rx Analysis, QLIK)
- Use consultative selling approach and Brand Sales strategy to develop trusted partnerships with ECP customers to drive immediate sales and establish long-term business partnerships
- Conducts highly effective account seminars for large and small audiences
- Proactively addresses customer need, resolves issues in a timely manner and uses the opportunity to build a stronger relationship. Partners with lab on customer needs and maintains a professional image
- Demonstrates an obsession for customer service through customer involvement
- Uses District Meetings, Ride-alongs, Call-ins and the annual review process to identify professional needs and develop skills
- Completes requested tasks effectively from management and corporate office in a timely manner.
Basic Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience
- 3+ years sales experience
- Strong interpersonal skills i.e. flexibility, adaptability and team oriented
- Demonstrated computer & presentation skills
- Demonstrated sales results
- Must be able to travel overnight approximately 50%
- Customer service orientation
