ACCOUNT RELATIONS SPECIALIST

About the role

This position is responsible for providing exceptional customer service, determining the financial needs and services of new customers, and cross-selling bank services within the policies, objectives, and guidelines established by Independence Bank. The role also involves answering telephone calls, assisting customers with account maintenance inquiries, and performing other duties as assigned by a supervisor.

Responsibilities

• Provide outstanding customer service to new and existing customers.
• Identify and address the financial needs of customers.
• Cross-sell bank services and products in alignment with bank policies.
• Answer telephone calls and assist customers with account maintenance inquiries.
• Perform additional duties as assigned by a supervisor.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED.
• Two to three months of related experience and/or training, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Proficient typing skills using a keyboard and 10-key.
• Ability to perform essential job duties; reasonable accommodations may be made for individuals with disabilities.

• Regularly required to stand, use hands to finger, handle, or feel, reach with hands and arms, and talk or hear.
• Frequently required to walk.
