ACCOUNT MGR II (SE USA Region)
Remote position based in the Southeast Region (AL/GA/FL) – ideal candidate will reside within the territory. Travel requirement: 50% to 75%.
About the role
TE Connectivity's Regional Account Management Teams are responsible for selling TE's products, systems, or services, providing detailed technical product information, and maintaining relationships with customers in an assigned geographic territory, industry, or accounts. The Regional Account Manager (RAM) will develop solid and trusting relationships with strategic customers in the Southeast region.
The ideal candidate will have an outside sales and technical background, with experience in building strong relationships. Experience in the Renewable and Data Center industries (Wind, Solar, BESS, OEM, Oil & Gas, DCs) is a plus. The RAM works with the business management team, product management, and TE support and services functions to ensure customer needs are met and aligned with the Company’s strategic growth plan. The RAM will manage existing TE accounts, meet with prospective customers, and oversee contracted manufacturing representatives in the territory.
Responsibilities
Technical Duties
- Acquire a thorough understanding of key account technical needs and requirements.
- Promote TE Energy technologies (LV/MV/HV) and product portfolio with customers and drive projects.
- Serve as the Subject Matter Expert (SME) and participate in proposal review and negotiation processes.
- Manage deliverable requirements to ensure current and future metrics exceed customer expectations.
- Ensure engineering, procurement, construction, and logistics elements of projects are executed consistently with as-sold expectations.
- Build relationships with key stakeholders and serve as the SME – a technical resource for customers – specifying TE products with Owners, EPCs, and Electrical Contractors within multiple industry verticals (focus on Renewables, Data Centers, and OEMs).
- Develop and deliver sales presentations, proposals, and other materials to support project development efforts.
Commercial Duties
- Analyze various markets and provide industry trend insights.
- Proactively address open customer issues and coordinate with internal groups to ensure timely responses for quotations, quality complaints, VOC, and technical information.
- Develop and implement effective lead campaign strategies, including outgoing calls and emails.
- Maintain a coordination library of projects throughout the Americas region and qualify projects through outgoing calls.
- Identify and understand current and future customer needs and opportunities to introduce and sell products, services, and solutions.
- Develop and implement strategic planning to improve results and meet deliveries according to proposed timelines.
- Use CRMs (Salesforce) for project pipeline and conversion management.
Requirements
- BS in Engineering, Business Administration, or a related discipline preferred; HS/GED/Technical degree with relevant work experience may be considered.
- 3-5+ years of industry experience (manufacturing, contractor, and/or electrical distribution).
- Experience in sales and providing solutions based on customer needs.
- Goal-oriented, organized team player with strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Working knowledge of office productivity software such as MS-Office suite, including advanced use of MS Excel.
- Proficient in CRM Sales software for project pipeline and conversion management.
- Proven ability to work in a fast-paced and ever-changing environment, both independently and as part of a team.
- Strong communication skills, both written and oral, with a focus on listening to the customer.
- Decision-making ability and strong customer service skills.
- Working knowledge of engineering design, CAD, procurement, and construction practices and procedures.
- Multi-project execution experience.
- Ability to work with deadlines and challenging targets.
- Flexibility in working days and travel (50% travel requirement).
Pay
Competitive base salary range: $64,100 – $96,200 annually (subject to change based on physical location). Total compensation includes base salary, incentives, and benefits.
