Reporting to the Director of Account Managers, this hybrid position requires travel in the Denver, CO, metro area and remote work from home.

About the Role

The Account Manager leads end-to-end delivery of water management services for hospitals and hospitality clients, from project initiation through closeout. This role ensures compliance with healthcare and hospitality water safety standards, including CDC and ASHRAE guidelines, while fostering strong client relationships to drive retention and long-term partnerships.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as the primary client contact, ensuring stakeholder alignment and satisfaction throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Develop detailed project execution plans in alignment with the scope of work and in coordination with site-level points of contact.
  • Coordinate with engineering teams, water quality specialists, and infection control professionals to implement site-specific water management programs.
  • Identify project risks (technical, operational, or regulatory) and develop mitigation strategies.
  • Ensure all projects meet healthcare and hospitality water safety standards, including CDC and ASHRAE 188 guidelines.
  • Maintain complete and accurate project documentation.
  • Support hospital and hospitality staff education on water management program implementation, monitoring, and maintenance.
  • Review audit reports generated by the quality team and address findings with the client.
  • Prepare and present progress reports, performance metrics, and final deliverables to hospital and hospitality leadership.
  • Manage relationships with third-party vendors and subcontractors as required.
  • Lead the end-to-end contract renewal process, including drafting documentation, reviewing scope with clients, leading negotiations, and ensuring purchase order delivery.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Environmental Science, Project Management, or related field.
  • 2–5 years of experience managing technical or environmental projects (preferably in healthcare facilities).
  • Proven experience delivering complex, multi-stakeholder projects on time and in alignment with the scope of work.
  • Experience managing contract renewal processes.
  • Experience developing and implementing client retention strategies, including proactive engagement, relationship management, and initiatives to enhance long-term customer loyalty.
  • Knowledge of hospital infrastructure systems (e.g., potable water, cooling towers, steam, HVAC).
  • Familiarity with ASHRAE 188, CMS Legionella requirements, and related water safety standards.
  • Excellent communication, organization, and leadership skills.
  • Proficiency in project management tools.

Preferred Qualifications

  • PMP or equivalent project management certification.
  • Experience working with infection prevention, facilities management, or environmental health teams in hospitals.
  • Understanding of water testing, treatment, and Legionella risk management practices.

Work Environment & Travel

  • Physical activity may include walking, climbing stairs or ladders, and lifting up to 25 pounds.
