Roughly 45 people in New York, growing fast, and raising their next round. Their customers are startups and small businesses, which makes the account management team the commercial owner of the existing base rather than a support function. The Opportunity This is the third seat on a small account management team, and it is a selling role. You will own a book of startup customers end to end: keeping them, growing them, and making sure the product is actually driving the outcomes they bought it for. Retention and expansion are your numbers, and you will be expected to go find the expansion rather than wait for it to surface.Because the team is still small, the way you run your book shapes the way the team runs. You will work closely with the Head of Customer Success and, shortly, a dedicated account management manager, in an organization where process is still being written and good ideas land quickly.Responsibilities Own a portfolio of startup and small-business accounts, carrying retention, expansion and satisfaction targetsIdentify and close expansion opportunities across the product suite, not just seat growthRun executive-level business reviews with data-driven recommendations tied to customer outcomesAnticipate customer needs and connect product usage to the business results the customer cares aboutPrioritize strategically across a large portfolio while hitting quarterly targetsPartner with customer experience, activations and sales to keep the customer journey coherentContribute to the account management playbooks and processes as the team scalesRequirements 2-3+ years in B2B new-business sales or account managementProven track record managing a book of business and driving retention, expansion and customer satisfaction, with numbers you can speak toExperience running executive-level business reviews and presenting data-driven recommendationsStrong business acumen and the ability to tie product usage to business outcomesExcellent communication and interpersonal skills, able to influence stakeholders at every levelHighly organized, comfortable prioritizing across a large portfolioHigh adaptability and comfort with the pace of an early-stage startupTechnical aptitude to learn a complex product quicklyBased in or relocating to New York and able to work onsite five days a week
