About the role

The Account Manager is a member of AVI-SPL’s Voice Collaboration team responsible for supporting the design, sale, and support of one or more primary collaboration platforms—Microsoft, Cisco, Zoom—as well as select UCaaS and CCaaS platform solutions (Ring Central, Vonage, 8x8, Five9, Genesys, Nice, Avaya, Mitel) as part of AVI-SPL’s Unified Communications and Collaboration Strategy. This position coordinates and communicates between internal AVI-SPL stakeholders, sellers, and partner teams to ensure effective planning, implementation, and lifecycle management of key processes, product development, and service delivery. The role provides strategic input in all aspects of strategy development and implementation, leveraging expertise in Unified Communications and Collaboration and related IT topics, while also participating in tactical efforts to ensure UCC Cloud pre-sales, sales, and delivery processes are accurate and fully adopted.

Responsibilities

  • Accelerate demand generation, sales pipeline growth, and marketing programs that enable AVI-SPL Account Managers to win business and expand market share in target markets.
  • Support frontline sales managers in executing effective UCC Cloud go-to-market strategies and establishing a sales coaching program where required.
  • Support buying and selling processes at all stages, from lead generation through win/loss, as it relates to customer experiences and lifecycle activities.
  • Partner with collaboration solution partners or manufacturers—Microsoft, Cisco, Zoom, and UCaaS/CCaaS providers—to promote Cloud sales at AVI-SPL and develop co-sell activities that drive new opportunities to AVI-SPL sales teams.
  • Create leads and support growth in market or territory related to voice, contact center, and other related technologies, with the ability to execute and meet deadlines.
  • Hunt for new opportunities and network to build relationships with key partner suppliers to drive net new leads for the business.
  • Manage business reporting, leadership activities, and pipeline accuracy within internal AVI-SPL systems.
  • Support training, content/sales messaging, processes, practices, forms, and tools to support the sales force.
  • Support Customer Experience programs for all UCC Platform Products, Voice, and Phone projects, and coordinate activities to promote adoption, expansion, and renewal throughout the customer lifecycle.
  • Understand global capabilities with UCC Cloud and support global locations through licensing design, quoting, and buying processes.
  • Host regular meetings with internal AVI-SPL stakeholders to ensure alignment with internal/external needs and the overall UCC Practice strategy.
  • Attend regular meetings with voice collaboration and service sales teams, assisting key practice leads in managing opportunities and driving demand for platforms within and outside AVI-SPL.
  • Provide leadership to ensure business outcomes, user experience, and ongoing user adoption are consistently attained for AVI-SPL and its customers.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • Minimum of a 4-year degree or comparable industry experience.
  • Experience working with international accounts/program deployments preferred.
  • Relevant Microsoft, Cisco, Zoom, and/or Google certifications preferred, especially sales-focused certifications.
  • Sales and sales support experience preferred.
  • 5+ years of experience in UCC, AV technology, or Enterprise Technology management preferred.

  • Deep knowledge of collaboration solution partners or manufacturers—Microsoft, Cisco, Zoom—and select UCaaS/CCaaS platforms (Ring Central, Vonage, 8x8, Five9, Genesys, Nice, Avaya, Mitel), both technical and sales-related.
  • Leadership and management skills in a team-oriented, collaborative environment.
  • Exceptional strategic thinking and structured problem-solving skills.
  • Technical aptitude and ability to be a self-driven learner with a credible understanding of UCC, IT, Audio/Visual, Collaboration, and Meeting space technologies.
  • Intimate knowledge of regional differences in support of international deployments.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook), Microsoft Project, and Adobe Acrobat.

Working Environment

The role operates in a professional office environment using standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets, and fax machines. The work environment is generally moderate in noise (inter-office conversations and computers/printers). Pay

Base salary range: $65,000 – $90,000, plus uncapped commissions.
