Account Manager

The Account Manager (AM) is aligned a book of business and works alongside the Benefits Consultant (who has direct ownership of the client book) serving as the Operation Liaison between consultants, clients and OneDigital’s operational (shared services) teams. They are responsible for managing workflow routines associated with model service delivery and associated operational items that support client retention efforts and directs administrative requests through proper channels for execution and delivery associated with renewal management, new product implementation, escalated issue resolution, client record data integrity, benchmarking requests, carrier engagement, etc.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Works closely with Benefits Consultants to service assigned book of business
  • Maintains a detailed timeline of project deliverables & responsible parties for assigned book of business
  • Manages day-to-day tasks related to the development and deployment of client employee benefit packages
  • Completes and/or coordinates quotes and proposals for all new and renewal business
  • Affords assistance with renewals and new business applications
  • Affords assistance with communications, follow-up and distribution of applications to carriers
  • Maintains and monitors the Mail Folder
  • Collections missing information from groups and sends approval letters to clients
  • Updates census, policy information and commissions for all accounts and policies in Microsoft CRM
  • Attaches applications to appropriate client file in Microsoft CRMAffords assistance in preparation for open enrollment meetings; may be asked to facilitate as needed
  • Coordinates presentation materials, and processes all outgoing packages, shipments, mail, etc. for assigned book of business
  • Supports client relationships through the development of proactive communications
  • Comfortable conducting client education and service transactions via email and telephone
  • Affords assistance with 5500 form filings, as applicable
  • May be required to travel for training or conference, which may require overnight stay.

Education, Training and Experience

  • 2+ years’ applicable job experience
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office products
  • Prior experience in broker agency or benefit administration firm
  • Familiarity with employee benefits and group insurance products
  • Excellent Customer Service skills
  • Bachelor’s Degree, preferred
  • Familiarity with database applications, a plus

Pay

The typical base pay range for this role nationwide is $60,000 to $90,000 per year. Your base pay is dependent upon your skills, education, qualifications, professional experience, and location. In addition to base pay, some roles are eligible for variable compensation, commission, and/or annual bonus based on your individual performance and/or the company’s performance.
