Account Manager, Regional Accounts

This is a remote-based, customer-facing position. Candidates must be based in the Los Angeles, CA metropolitan area, specifically within one of the following zip codes: 900, 902, 903, 904, 905, 907, 908, 913, 914, 930, or 931.
About The Role
The Regional Account Manager (RAM) is responsible for defining and negotiating contractual terms to secure agreements that drive continued business growth. This role involves setting and executing strategic goals for an assigned territory to meet and exceed the organization’s primary objectives for sustained growth and a balanced product portfolio. The RAM collaborates with partners in Marketing, Customer Care, SBUs, Supply Chain, Operations, and Quality to maintain a high level of customer focus and exceed customer expectations.
Responsibilities
- Sell dental instrumentation, infection prevention & control products, and services to territory accounts, including conscious sedation, dental unit waterlines, instrument management systems (IMS), and sterilization solutions, along with associated validation and support services.
- Drive revenue and margin growth by developing strong business relationships, understanding customer needs, presenting the value of HuFriedyGroup, and negotiating favorable agreements with critical accounts, such as dealer sales branches/representatives, private practices, community health centers, and DSOs.
- Evaluate account performance against established objectives and implement strategies and action plans to achieve targets.
- Educate customers on the technical and commercial value propositions of HuFriedyGroup products and services to ensure proper understanding and acceptance of our value-added contributions.
- Collaborate with partners in customer meetings to demonstrate the value of HuFriedyGroup, driving outcomes that increase sales and profits.
- Utilize understanding of customer needs to recommend new products and services that improve efficiency, reliability, and customer value, driving sustained growth and applying industry innovations.
- Design, schedule, implement, and monitor promotional programs with qualified customers to enhance growth opportunities within the assigned region.
- Counsel dealers, group accounts, and/or purchasing agents on promotional opportunities, special programs, new product introductions, and related sales information.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree or 10+ years of work experience within the dental industry.
- 8+ years of sales experience, preferably selling technical products and/or compliance services, including 1-3 years of direct sales experience.
- 5 years of consistently achieving sales targets; recognized and awarded for results.
- Ability to accommodate a customary and regular travel schedule, including overnight travel (approximately 25-50% depending on territory) and occasional weekend work.
- Must have a valid driver’s license and means of transportation to make sales calls.
- Proven ability to succeed in an autonomous environment.
Preferred Qualifications
- Prior direct selling experience within implants, endodontics, orthodontics, and/or medical devices.
- Experience and understanding of the Challenger Sales Model.
- Familiarity with CRM software and account management tools.
- Demonstrated ability to analyze data and make data-driven decisions.
Pay
This position offers a competitive base salary plus commission eligibility.
