Account Manager - Project Execution 1
About the role
We are hiring an Account Manager - Project Execution for our Odessa, TX base. This role focuses on building strong, long-term relationships with customers in the oil and gas industry, leveraging a strong engineering and technical background to cultivate accounts and drive sales opportunities.
Responsibilities
- Build and maintain relationships with customers, cultivating accounts into long-term alliances while identifying and promoting additional sales opportunities.
- Seek and identify business opportunities through customer communication, industry research, networking at events, and collaboration with colleagues.
- Prepare and execute sales strategies for targeted accounts, leveraging TechnipFMC’s technical and commercial expertise to create proposals and presentations.
- Work with the proposal team to align customer requirements with TechnipFMC’s offerings, driving standardization where possible.
- Propose pricing based on market data and communicate industry trends, competitor insights, and future business projections.
- Prepare monthly reports and internal memos to outline opportunities, address issues proactively, and assist with forecasting.
- Act as a liaison between the TechnipFMC Project Team and customers, clarifying needs, expectations, and constraints in engineering and manufacturing processes.
- Stay updated on new products, specifications, and industry trends, including competitor strengths and weaknesses, and share insights with colleagues.
- Attend industry trade shows and seminars, communicating potential opportunities to other TechnipFMC locations.
- Manage business expenses against a sales budget and complete reporting requirements.
- Provide input and assistance to functional areas such as Quality, Service, and Safety to improve processes and customer satisfaction.
- Meet training and development requirements to support professional growth.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Technical field, or equivalent (preferred).
- Minimum of 3 years of work experience in the upstream oil and gas industry.
- Excellent knowledge of TechnipFMC’s product offerings and services for Surface West.
- Familiarity with iComplete Completions Integrated Systems.
- Strong engineering and technical background.
- Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate complex ideas clearly.
- Persuasive communication and presentation skills.
- Outgoing, self-directed, aggressive, and creative mindset.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong commercial acumen.
- Patience to explain complex ideas and new applications.
