About the role
The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in expanding Thunderbird Molding’s customer base by developing relationships with new and existing accounts, conducting in-person meetings, and presenting quotes. This position requires extensive travel and a strong understanding of the injection molding process.
Responsibilities
- Develop relationships with new and existing accounts to generate quote opportunities.
- Conduct in-person meetings/presentations with accounts.
- Follow up and monitor status of quoted programs.
- Continually develop new business, proactively network and prospect for new customer contacts.
- Accurately collect all required information for the Costing Dept so that projects can be quoted in a timely fashion.
- Continually service all accounts to ensure customer satisfaction and provide assistance where needed.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree (BA or BS) or equivalent experience.
- Extensive travel necessary.
- Valid driver's license with a good driving record.
- Demonstrated ability to develop a sale from cold call through close.
- Demonstrated ability to identify and develop targets which fit business plan.
- Demonstrated success in account management and service.
- Excellent interpersonal and communications skills.
- Able to speak in front of small groups, prepare and present impactful presentations.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
Qualifications
- Technical knowledge of injection molding.
- Sales experience in a manufacturing, new product design environment.
- Mechanically inclined.
- Technical background.
