Account Manager / Outside Sales, Fluid Power

About the role

The Outside Sales Representative/Account Manager will cover the Portland/Vancouver area, working with a diverse customer base across various industries including marine, logging, forestry, aggregate, medical, material handling, construction, automation, robotics, government agencies, and more.

Responsibilities

• Meet with current and prospective customers to assess system requirements and product needs/applications.
• Achieve sales and profit goals by developing existing customers, opening new business, and customer retention.
• Conduct sales and service activities, develop strong customer relationships, identify product applications, and introduce new products and services.
• Prepare quotes and proposals, follow up and negotiate terms, and close transactions.

Requirements

• 2+ years outside sales experience.
• Industrial customer experience a plus.
• Strong mechanical aptitude with a desire to learn.
• Ability to work independently.
• Proven experience maintaining existing customer base while developing new business.
• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• College degree preferred.
• Knowledge of the practical application of pumps, hoses, fittings, and/or hydraulics, pneumatics is preferred.
