Account Manager - Named Accounts, Boston
About the role
As a Test & Measurement Account Manager, you will be part of a customer-focused team dedicated to maximizing sales through the development of new business and working closely with existing customers using a solutions-based sales approach. You will focus on expanding business into established and existing accounts in the greater Boston area, supporting customers with product categories such as spectrum/signal analyzers, network analyzers, signal generators, oscilloscopes, power meters, and communication test systems.
Responsibilities
- Understand customer needs and identify how Rohde & Schwarz products can provide technical solutions.
- Create new business opportunities and expand Rohde & Schwarz brand awareness in existing customers.
- Effectively demonstrate and communicate how Rohde & Schwarz products solve customer measurement and application problems.
- Grow the R&S market share and exceed sales quota.
- Develop and manage a strong sales funnel.
- Provide input and feedback to product marketing, service, and development groups on customer product and application requirements.
Qualifications
- B.S. in Electrical Engineering or similar technical field.
- 7+ years of technical sales experience, preferably in the test industry.
- Understanding of current electronic industry technologies (aerospace and defense technologies a plus).
- Passion for selling, intense focus on customer service, and a strong desire to succeed.
- Excellent communication (verbal and written) and customer interface skills.
- Ability to travel throughout the territory, with some possible out-of-territory or international travel.
- Experience managing large or complex accounts.
- Account knowledge and experience selling into Government and Aerospace industries is highly desired.
- Candidates must reside in the U.S. and be a U.S. person (customer requirements).
Pay
The total compensation for this position is $110K–$230K, including base salary, variable pay (when applicable), and benefits. Individual pay within the range is determined by factors such as location, education, relevant work history, sales incentive structure, and job-related skills.
