About the role

As an Account Manager at Johnson Matthey, you’ll join a world leader in platinum group metals with over 200 years of history. Using advanced metals chemistry, you’ll help tackle global challenges—cutting emissions, powering modern life, and supporting life-saving technologies—by applying, refining, and recycling metals for a healthier, more sustainable, circular future.

You will drive our goals by:

• Delivering financial targets across assigned accounts and segments within the region
• Building and strengthening relationships with new and existing customers to support long-term growth
• Identifying and developing new business opportunities, including project pipelines and displacement opportunities
• Collaborating with internal teams such as R&D, Legal, Finance, and Production to support commercial activity
• Leading or supporting contract and supply agreement negotiations with key customers
• Monitoring market trends and competitor activity to inform sales strategies and customer engagement

Requirements

• Degree in Chemistry or Biochemistry (Bachelor’s required, Master’s preferred)
• Proven experience in account management within a technical or scientific environment
• Strong commercial awareness and ability to position solutions in complex customer environments
• Effective communication and stakeholder management skills, both written and verbal
• Ability to plan, prioritize, and manage multiple opportunities and customer relationships
• Experience working with pharmaceutical or agrochemical markets is advantageous

Pay

Pay Range: $76,000 - $90,000
