Account Manager, Local Marketplace
About the role
Axios is a media company dedicated to providing trustworthy, award-winning news content in an audience-first format. We’re hiring an Account Manager for our Local Client Success team to help manage and grow Axios Local Marketplace — a new offering designed to make it easier for local businesses to reach Axios’s trusted, highly engaged audiences. Marketplace is currently live in Charlotte, NC, with plans to expand into additional Axios Local markets.
Why it matters
Axios Local Marketplace creates a new way for local businesses with smaller advertising budgets to connect with Axios audiences and promote their businesses, events, job openings, and brand messages across our digital channels. This role will play a critical part in scaling our new semi-service advertising model — managing the client experience from campaign setup through execution and reporting, while helping shape the processes, products, and workflows that will support Marketplace as it expands into new markets.
Responsibilities
- Monitor incoming submissions to ensure accuracy, completeness, and compliance with Axios standards.
- Review, edit, and post listings on the Marketplace boards and within job boards.
- Manage the client experience from campaign setup through execution and reporting.
- Identify opportunities for improvement and help shape processes, products, and workflows.
- Create a fast, seamless, and effective experience for local advertisers.
