Your Role Objective
This role focuses on managing and optimizing chemical distribution processes within a global supply chain network. The most critical aspect of this position is driving operational efficiency and ensuring seamless coordination between suppliers, customers, and internal teams. Responsibilities
- Leading supply chain planning and inventory optimization projects to ensure on-time delivery and cost efficiency
- Collaborating with procurement, sales, and logistics teams to align demand forecasting with operational capabilities
- Implementing data-driven process improvements using enterprise resource planning systems and analytics tools
- Innovating in process automation and digital solutions to enhance order-to-delivery workflows
- Managing supplier relationships and negotiating terms to secure reliable sourcing and favorable pricing
- Monitoring key performance indicators and reporting on operational metrics to senior leadership
- Driving continuous improvement initiatives focused on safety, quality, and environmental compliance
Your Profile Skills
- Proficiency in enterprise resource planning systems such as SAP or similar platforms
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret complex data sets
- Experience with supply chain methodologies such as demand forecasting, inventory management, and lean principles
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for cross-functional collaboration
- Ability to adapt to changing priorities and manage multiple projects simultaneously
- Project management skills, including planning, execution, and stakeholder coordination
- Familiarity with regulatory requirements and safety standards in chemical or industrial sectors
Experience
- Several years of experience in supply chain management, logistics, or operations within the chemical, manufacturing, or distribution industry
- Proven track record with inventory optimization, demand planning, or process improvement initiatives
- Experience managing cross-functional projects and collaborating with diverse internal and external stakeholders
- Hands-on experience with data analysis and reporting tools to drive operational decisions
Education
- Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, Engineering, or a related field
- Master's degree in a relevant discipline is preferred
- Professional certification in supply chain (such as APICS or Certified Supply Chain Professional) is an asset
