Account Manager Instrumentation & Reagents

Responsible for revenue generation, new customer acquisition, and profitable promotion of Biocare reagent products (IHC, ISH, Detection, Ancillaries) and instrumentation (Oncore PRO, Oncore Pro X, intelliPATH+, intelliPATH MAX, Antigen Retrieval Chamber, and other equipment) to existing and future customers. Focus on immunohistochemistry laboratories, in-situ hybridization laboratories, and general pathology and histology markets in clinical, research, pharmaceutical, and biotech sectors.

Territory: Pacific Northwest – Washington, Idaho, Alaska, and Oregon. Successful candidate will live in Washington or Oregon within 1 hour of an airport.

Responsibilities

  • Meets annual quota and goals set for the defined territory.
  • Seeks out prospective customers and business opportunities with new and existing customers.
  • Establishes and maintains customer relationships, focusing on growing profitable instrument placements.
  • Manages territory using CRM tools and analyzes trends via Business Intelligence tools to maximize revenue.
  • Introduces and demonstrates new products to existing and new accounts.
  • Generates quotations, instrument proposals, and contracts to secure new business.
  • Reports competitive conditions and customer feedback to management.
  • Maintains ethical, cooperative manufacturer relationships consistent with company image and goals.
  • Coordinates the sales process across the entire value chain, including lab techs, lab managers, pathologists, and procurement.
  • Completes sales calls and expense reports on a timely basis in accordance with company policy.
  • Develops and maintains a sales forecast to analyze market conditions and changes in the assigned territory.
  • Maps existing and target accounts with SFDC ClosePlan™ to ensure proper deployment of the Biocare Playbook.
  • Coordinates customer returns and completes proper documentation on a timely basis.
  • Performs other duties as assigned by management.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree required or equivalent experience.
  • 2+ years of sales experience with laboratory equipment.
  • Ability to communicate clearly and concisely in written and verbal formats, including sales presentations.
  • Demonstrated capability to develop strong interpersonal working relationships and work in a team environment.
  • Ability to travel up to 75%.
  • Current valid driver’s license.

Schedule

  • Full-time weekly schedule.
  • Option to work remotely.
  • Travel required: 75% of the time.
  • Shift: Day.

Pay

The full-time equivalent pay range for this position is $110,250.00 - $183,750.00 per year plus eligibility for bonus, stock, and benefits. Pay is determined by role, level, location, and additional factors such as job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.

This position is eligible for reimbursement for personal vehicle usage and sales incentives.
