Account Manager, Digital
This is a full-time position working from one of the states in which we operate, including California, Georgia, Illinois, Maryland, Massachusetts, Minnesota, North Carolina, New Jersey, New York, Pennsylvania, South Carolina, Virginia, Washington DC, and Washington state.
About the role
The Digital Account Manager works within Client Services teams to support the Account Lead in delivering direct marketing fundraising programs by assisting with or managing many aspects of digital client work and project management for a portfolio of clients. The Account Manager serves as the liaison between clients, vendors, and internal teams, ensuring the timely and successful delivery of a wide variety of project management and client-facing duties.
Responsibilities
- Client Service
- Serve as a project manager for all client work, developing timelines, ensuring all deliverables meet deadlines, and managing deliverables from both internal and external stakeholders
- Ensure project milestones are completed, meeting all accuracy and quality standards
- Assist with creative services, including drafting initial email/web copy, and distilling instructions for designers to turn into web graphics
- Work with account team to oversee message/landing page setup and quality assurance in the client’s CRM platform
- Maintain ownership over client’s data segmentation as well as imports and exports of segmented lists
- Analytics
- Prepare email, web, and campaign advertising performance reports weekly
- Administrative
- Create, review, and maintain all project fundamentals including agendas, meeting notes and follow-ups, and production schedules for both client and internal team
- Help prepare presentations and reports before in-person client meetings as needed, with guidance from the account lead
- Maintain and organize all client documents and files on a shared drive for the team’s reference
Requirements
- Essential Qualifications
- Minimum of 2 years’ experience in one of the following areas of work: advocacy, fundraising, electoral campaigning, project management, event planning, Internet marketing, direct response
- Technology-oriented, with the ability and desire to understand how online fundraising, marketing, and advocacy technology works (Note: This is not a Web development position)
- Demonstrated knowledge and interest in online fundraising, email marketing, and advocacy
- Working knowledge of Microsoft products (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
- Demonstrated effective use of digital tools to manage internal and external workflow and communication (including email, chat, Zoom, and online workflow tools)
- Preferred (but Not Required) Knowledge
- Experience with nonprofit fundraising or advocacy
- Basic HTML and other web tools experience
- Some experience with Luminate, Salsa, EveryAction, Engaging Networks, Salesforce Marketing Cloud, or similar

Physical Demands
While performing the duties of this job, the employee regularly operates a computer and other office equipment and remains in a stationary position, often sitting (or standing if at a standing desk) for prolonged periods; communication is via phone, email, chat, video, and/or in-person with others inside and outside the agency in order to exchange information; repetitive motions may include the wrists, hands, and/or fingers in order to operate computer equipment, copy machines, and printers.
Work Environment
MWD is remote-first and no employee is required to work full-time from an office location. While some positions and job responsibilities require a degree of regular in-office presence, team members primarily work from their home residence located in a state in which MWD operates. Working across multiple US time zones, we collaborate with internal and external stakeholders via email, chat, and video conference, though MWD will occasionally schedule staff to participate in in-person meetings, events, and/or retreats at or near an office location.
Pay
A starting salary range of between $60,000 - $67,000, with performance evaluations and review of salary at least annually.
