About the role
The Clinical Education Manager (CEM) supports HuFriedyGroup's academic institutions business by delivering cutting-edge research and education to thought leaders and clinicians within dental schools as well as dental hygiene and assisting programs. The CEM will drive revenue and margin growth within an assigned multi-state territory/geographic region of the Academic & Education Sales team.
Responsibilities
- Sells dental instrumentation and infection prevention & control products and services to academic and institution accounts including conscious sedation, dental unit waterlines, instrument management systems (IMS), and sterilization solutions.
- Ensures product offers meet program requirements associated with efficient workflows while promoting best outcomes for patients.
- Drives revenue and margin growth by developing strong business relationships with key personnel in academic institutions. This includes understanding customers' clinical/technical needs, presenting the value of HuFriedyGroup and negotiating to favorable agreements which may include any or all of the following: dental/hygiene/assisting schools, hospitals, and public health institutions.
- Evaluates account performance against established objectives and identifies and implements strategies and action plans to ensure achievement of targets.
- Consistently analyzes data to improve and develop designated territory.
- Collaborates with partners in customer meetings that demonstrate the value of HuFriedyGroup to drive outcomes that increase sales and profits.
- Educates customers on the various technical and commercial value propositions of HuFriedyGroup products and services to ensure the proper understanding and acceptance of our value-added contributions.
- As needed, collaborate with Regional Account Managers, dental colleagues to transition graduates into clinical practice.
- Assess the need for and plan, implement, evaluate, and deliver education and training programs for a variety of clinical and support staff, including but not limited to hands on equipment presentations.
- Utilize understanding of customer needs to recommend new products and services to improve efficiency, reliability, and customer value to drive sustained growth potential, and apply industry innovations.
- Design, schedule, implement, and monitor education programs with qualified customers to enhance growth opportunities within assigned region.
- Counsel academic & school leaders, deans, and/or purchasing agents on promotional opportunities, special programs, new product introductions, and related sales information.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree or 15+ years of relevant experience in lieu of a degree
- 10+ years of experience working in the dental industry (dental hygiene practice/clinician, dental sales and/or educator)
- 3 years experience in selling technical products or services
- Active dental hygienist (RDH) license required
- Strong knowledge of clinical practices, healthcare regulations, and adult learning principles
- Excellent communication, organizational, and presentation skills
