Account Manager - Captives Insurance Management

About the Role

The Account Manager is responsible for delivering comprehensive management services to a portfolio of captive insurance companies. This role operates under general direction and focuses on financial statement preparation and review, regulatory compliance, client relationship management, and the effective use of approved AI-enabled tools to enhance productivity, support analysis, and improve service delivery. The position plays a key part in supporting strategic initiatives, ensuring adherence to accounting practices, maintaining effective communication with clients, regulators, and service providers, and leveraging AI responsibly while exercising sound professional judgment and safeguarding confidential information.

Responsibilities

• Insurance Liaison: Work with insurance and reinsurance brokers, assist with underwriting documentation and decisions, monitor exposures and risk transfer pricing, and obtain regulatory and board approvals for business plan changes and underwriting decisions.
• Finance/Regulatory: Monitor domicile solvency and capital requirements, ensure compliance with accounting practices, manage cash requirements, liaise with investment managers, coordinate board meetings, and ensure timely production of financial statements, budgets, and regulatory filings.
• Management: Provide input on strategic and operational issues, implement policies, maintain contact with client directors, keep leadership informed of client developments, entertain clients and prospects, and support senior management in board insights and thought leadership.
• Compliance & Governance: Ensure compliance with corporate governance, internal control procedures, and the WTW Code of Conduct, and perform company secretarial functions.

Qualifications

• 4-year degree in Accounting, Finance, or equivalent work experience, or CPA qualification.
• 3-5 years of relevant captive insurance experience.
• In-depth knowledge of captive insurance accounting, problem resolution, and insurance industry practices.
• Demonstrated AI literacy, including responsible use of AI to enhance productivity, support decision-making, and maintain compliance.
• Strong client relationship management, communication, and presentation skills.
• Ability to influence decisions, negotiate outcomes, and manage stakeholder expectations.
• Project and team leadership capabilities, with a focus on compliance, quality management, and problem-solving.

Compensation

The base salary compensation range for this role is $80,000.00-$115,000.00 USD annually. This role is also eligible for an annual short-term incentive bonus.
