Account Manager - B2B Tech PR
Job Description
Account leadership: Take the wheel on multiple tech accounts, with the freedom to get hands-on when needed. You’ll drive programs that consistently deliver results — and surprise and delight clients while you’re at it.
Client relations: Become a strategic partner to your clients. You’ll lead calls, offer clear counsel and set expectations that keep programs focused and productive.
Media relations: Own the earned media strategy. Whether it’s cloud-native platforms, AI breakthroughs, or yes, cybersecurity threat reports — you’ll pitch stories that make headlines.
Content creation: Work with clients and your team to turn complex ideas into clear, compelling content. From press releases to thought leadership, you’ll help tech brands find their voice.
Measurement: Track success, optimize along the way and use data to prove the value of what we do.
New business: Help us scope and win exciting new clients — from endpoint protection pioneers to enterprise software and the latest AI-enabled offering.

The Hero’s Background: Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in PR, Communications, Business, Journalism or Liberal Arts
- At least 4 years of public relations experience an agency) ideally within ) with at least 1-2 years of demonstrated responsibility for managing multiple client accounts or workstreams.
- Experience working with tech industry companies or organizations with a tech story
- Proven writing and communication skills
- Experience as a people manager supporting team members with empathy and clarity
- Strong time management and organizational skills
- Adept with Microsoft Office (extra points if you can also build a pitch deck in your sleep)
- Flexibility, humor and a bias for action are musts
- Cybersecurity experience is a strong bonus — but not required

Pay
The Account Manager salary ranges between $79,400 to $99,400 depending on experience and location. More experienced candidates may be considered for the more senior titles with higher salary ranges.
