About the role
The Account Manager supports electric utility customers across Pennsylvania, New Jersey, southern New York, and select New England markets. This role plays a critical part in developing and maintaining strong relationships with these customers.
Responsibilities
- Serve as the primary point of contact for assigned utility accounts, building long-term, trust-based relationships.
- Respond promptly to customer inquiries, issues, and service needs.
- Manage project timelines, material delivery schedules, contract renewals, and negotiate pricing within established guidelines.
- Conduct regular customer visits to understand operational needs, project pipelines, and inventory requirements.
- Provide technical support and guidance in product selection, application, and standards compliance.
- Develop account plans and strategies to achieve or exceed annual sales and margin targets.
- Identify new opportunities for product penetration, project collaboration, and value-added services.
- Prepare and present quotations, bids, and proposals for utility projects and annual material contracts.
Qualifications
- 3 years experience in the electric utility business preferred
- College degree preferred
- 2 years Outside sales experience preferred
- Valid Driver’s license required
- Computer experience including Microsoft office applications and inventory management systems
