Overall responsibility for tracking and maintaining profit targets for assigned projects, covering column, shaft, and gear systems. Plans and maintains an overview of the market.

Responsibilities

  • Leads commercially assigned customer projects throughout the entire project lifecycle
  • Driver of the acquisition team (new sourcing) and commercial lead for change management
  • Sets up and initiates a profitability increase plan in alignment with CBUM (proactive approach)
  • For assigned customer projects:
    • Defines and executes countermeasures if “off-track” together with CBUM
    • Challenges the cost structure
    • Maintains and strengthens customer network in cooperation with KAM
  • Creates, presents, and negotiates quotations for new projects and changes in alignment with CBUM, GPM, and KAM
  • Ensures accurate volume and sales price planning for assigned customer projects
  • Maintains accuracy and regular updates of sales master data (BeeCore, CRM…)
  • Generates inputs for pre-development activities (gap2business)
  • Actively participates in Best Practice Sharing within the sales organization
  • Monitors commercial performance to meet targets and/or define actions for assigned customer projects throughout the lifecycle
  • Achieves set growth and profitability targets of assigned customer projects
  • Implements optimal decisions for tkS, on a BU level, in product management of the customer group
  • Defines and implements project-independent measures to secure profitability targets
  • Leads efficient change management, leveraging opportunities to increase profitability

Requirements

  • Strong knowledge of customer and internal sales processes, commercial topics, and automotive industry trends, including cost structures, markets, and strategy
  • Broad technical understanding of the product portfolio and value chain; project management experience is a plus
  • Proficient in analytical thinking, planning, negotiating, and working effectively across cultures and teams
  • Able to perform under pressure with flexibility and willingness to travel
  • Excellent English skills (additional languages are a plus); collaborative team player

Qualifications

  • BS or master’s degree in engineering, preferably in Mechanical Engineering or Business Administration
  • Advanced Engineering Degree a plus
  • Additional experience or education in business administration is a plus
  • Long-term experience in the automotive sector, especially in sales and strategic matters

Pay

Salary range: $105,000 – $115,000
