About the Role

Town Hall, a fast-growing digital media agency serving higher education and mission-driven brands, is seeking an Account Manager to support the account team and serve as a day-to-day client relationship lead across an assigned portfolio of accounts. You'll thrive here if you're equal parts project manager, strategic thinker, and trusted partner — someone who takes ownership of client work from brief to delivery, communicates with clarity and confidence, and holds themselves accountable for the quality of everything that goes out the door. Our office is located in midtown Manhattan, and we are currently working in-office four days per week (Monday–Thursday). The anticipated start date for this role is late September/early October.

What You'll Do

As an Account Manager at Town Hall, you'll serve as the primary day-to-day partner for a specific set of clients and provide support to an Account Director for complex accounts. You'll be responsible for building resilient, long-term partnerships and driving revenue growth through delivering great work, clear communication, and quality assurance. You'll ensure all agency recommendations are aligned with the client's business goals, manage workflow across internal teams, keep budgets on track, and hold the team to a high standard for everything that goes out the door. You'll also be a contributor to the bigger picture: participating in strategic discussions, connecting industry trends to client opportunities, supporting revenue growth on existing accounts, and showing up to client and internal meetings with curiosity, preparation, and clear communication. You'll report to a senior account leader who will coach you on client management, presentation skills, and leading strategic conversations.

Responsibilities

  • Build and maintain strong working relationships with day-to-day client contacts, serving as a reliable and responsive point of contact
  • Manage project workflow across internal teams, proactively identifying and resolving process challenges before they become problems
  • Draft and deliver project briefs and supplemental information to creative and media teams, ensuring work is on brief and aligned to client brand standards
  • Track budgets and manage the client invoicing process, contributing to agency projections and ensuring budgets are spent in full
  • Participate in strategic discussions and contribute ideas in both internal and client-facing meetings
  • Lead client presentations and strategic conversations, ensuring all agency recommendations are soundly aligned with the client's specific business goals
  • Understand each client's business objectives, institutional priorities, and industry landscape to inform recommendations
  • Follow industry trends and connect relevant opportunities to client work
  • Proactively drive account growth by identifying and securing opportunities for service expansion and budget optimization
  • Continually sharpen your writing, speaking, and listening skills

Requirements

  • 3+ years of experience in an account management or client services role at a digital or integrated marketing agency
  • Demonstrated experience collaborating with media colleagues to provide client-facing reporting and insights
  • Clear and confident communicator, comfortable presenting to clients and giving direction to internal creative and media teams
  • Detail-oriented with a critical eye for quality
  • Collaborative problem solver who moves work forward without prompting
  • Genuine curiosity about clients' businesses and the marketing industry
  • Nice to haves: startup experience; experience working with higher education and/or nonprofit organizations; experience using Google Suite

Benefits

We offer a competitive base salary and a range of benefits and perks:

  • Starting salary range at $75,000 – $80,000, commensurate with experience
  • Health care plan (medical, dental and vision)
  • Retirement plan with employer match
  • Life and disability insurance
  • Generous paid time off package that includes vacation, sick, "life happens" days, birthdays, summer Fridays and public holidays
  • Paid family leave
  • Cold brew coffee, snacks and fresh fruit
  • Wellness resources
  • Special access to New York City's arts and entertainment scene
