Position Summary
We are seeking an Account Manager to build long-term, trusting relationships with our customers. Key responsibilities include:
- Create and develop relationships with customers
- Oversee a portfolio of assigned customers
- Develop new business from existing clients
- Connect with key business executives and stakeholders
- Prepare sales reports
- Answer client queries and identify new business opportunities
- Liaise with cross-functional internal teams to improve the customer experience
Essential Functions
- Build and develop relationships with customers to ensure continued partnership
- Communicate shipment updates proactively and accurately ensuring a customer-centric approach
- Analyze customer inquiries and provide quality and timely insights and updates to your customers
- Proactively identify opportunities to improve operational efficiency
- Respond to customers with a sense of urgency to provide an excellent customer experience
- Recognize opportunities and leverage automation to take action and promote value
- Call on dormant customers to reestablish contact and generate demand
- Leverage technology platform to generate reports, analyze load data and exceed customer expectations
- Drive profitably through effectively managing sales plan execution, supplier relationship management, A/R and A/P, claims, etc.
- Collaborate internally with Finance, Operations, and Supply Chain
Education and Experience
- High School Diploma or GED equivalent
- Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience preferred
- 2+ years previous Logistics Account Management experience
- 2+ years Industry experience in account managing SaaS and/or TMS accounts
- Previous Customer Engagement Experience

- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
- Exceptional analytical skills for analyzing client data
- Satisfactory problem-solving skills to help resolve customer complaints or needs
- Up-to-date understanding of the industry’s consumer behavior
- Strong customer service and interpersonal skills for dealing with different types of customers and clients
Compensation
(AC I Salary Range 39k-57k plus 6k flat bonus)
Work Location
Hybrid (Sheer’s St. Louis office); Tuesday, Wednesday and Friday in office.
Working Conditions and Physical Demands
Sedentary inside office work with limited exposure to weather conditions.
