About the role

Powering Performance Marketplaces in Digital Media. QuinStreet is a pioneer in powering decentralized online marketplaces that match searchers and “research and compare” consumers with brands. We run these virtual- and private-label marketplaces in one of the nation’s largest media networks. Our industry leading segmentation and AI-driven matching technologies help consumers find better solutions and brands faster. They allow brands to target and reach in-market customer prospects with pinpoint segment-by-segment accuracy, and to pay only for performance results. Our campaign-results-driven matching decision engines and optimization algorithms are built from over 20 years and billions of dollars of online media experience. We believe in: the direct measurability of digital media; performance marketing (we pioneered it); the advantages of technology. We bring all this together to deliver truly great results for consumers and brands in the world’s biggest channel.

We are seeking an autonomous, driven, and data-fluent Account Manager to join our performance marketing team, specializing in the health and Medicare insurance category. In this role, you will own client relationships with health/Medicare carriers, brokers, agencies, and aggregators. You will act as a proactive strategic partner—optimizing revenue, managing media performance, and driving client portfolio growth. Because this is a fully remote position, we are looking for a natural self-starter who thrives in an autonomous environment, takes complete ownership of their accounts, and proactively uncovers new revenue opportunities.

Responsibilities

  • Client Portfolio Management & Strategy: Own end-to-end relationships with a portfolio of health and Medicare insurance clients, serving as their primary strategic advisor.
  • Proactive Revenue Growth: Proactively identify opportunities to scale client accounts, optimize performance, and expand the client profile to drive category revenue.
  • Performance Optimization: Monitor and analyze key performance indicators—including revenue, Return on Ad Spend (ROAS), and media buying metrics—to hit or exceed client targets and KPIs.
  • Performance Marketing Execution: Manage lead generation, calls, and clicks performance campaigns specifically tailored to the insurance sector.
  • Data Analysis & Reporting: Leverage advanced tools to evaluate campaign performance, build insightful reports, and communicate actionable insights clearly to internal teams and external stakeholders.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner closely with internal media buying, affiliate, and data/analyst teams to align campaign strategies, streamline execution, and maximize client portfolio performance.

Requirements

  • 3+ years of direct performance marketing experience within the health and Medicare insurance category (or closely related insurance/financial verticals).
  • Advanced Excel skills (pivot tables, complex formulas, data manipulation).
  • Strong proficiency in Tableau for data visualization and client reporting.
  • Deep understanding of revenue models, ROAS, media buying strategies, and lead/call/click generation.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills: high charisma, top-tier relationship-building capabilities, and proactive communication.
  • Proven track record as a self-starter who excels in a remote, independent environment without requiring heavy managerial oversight.
  • Strong working knowledge of CMS (Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services) marketing guidelines and compliance frameworks essential for Medicare and health insurance performance marketing.
  • Impeccable organizational skills to manage multiple high-stakes client accounts simultaneously.

Nice-to-Haves

  • Familiarity with AI-driven tools and workflows that enhance client management, data processing, or campaign optimization.
  • Prior experience in direct portfolio management with established industry clients.

Pay

The expected salary range for this position is $70,000 USD to $100,000 USD annually. The position is also eligible to receive performance bonus or commission and equity in the form of restricted stock units.

Benefits

This position is eligible to participate in the Company’s standard employee benefits programs, which currently include health care benefits; retirement benefits; paid days off (paid sick leave, parental leave, paid time off, or vacation benefits); and any other tax-reportable benefits.
