Account Manager

About the role

Development of strategic initiatives for assigned target accounts and OEMs based in North America, aligned with divisional growth strategies. The primary function is to develop mutually beneficial program guidelines and rules of engagement leading to profitable revenue growth. Plant-level execution will be critical to highlight the value proposition for inline gauge measurements for common metal-producing applications.

Responsibilities

• Meet or exceed key account program plan objectives.
• Develop key program guidelines to grow market share within the install base.
• Coordinate and manage annual pricing programs.
• Identify key decision-makers within all assigned key accounts and OEMs.
• Manage capital project solutions from project identification to installation at plant levels.
• Prepare and present proposals and project justifications.
• Execute defined strategic initiatives as outlined by the divisional growth and strategy team.
• Support designated initiatives for each key account, including field visits, demonstrations, and technical discussions with plant personnel.
• Schedule and facilitate quarterly business reviews with key accounts.
• Coordinate regular travel into identified plants for Nordson personnel.
• Train customer personnel in the proper use, maintenance, and service of equipment.
• Develop third-party references through follow-up calls on existing customers.
• Maintain detailed knowledge of Nordson products, prices, policies, and procedures.
• Determine which products can be most advantageously used with various finishing and container products.
• Maintain awareness of competitive products and advise supervisors of competitors’ activities.
• Provide customer service in emergency situations.
• Assist in the training of other employees as assigned.
• Prepare and promptly submit administrative and technical reports as directed.
• Maintain personal appearance, test equipment, and vehicles in a professional manner.
• Maintain detailed and accurate customer files.
• Travel 50%-75%.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree or 2-3 years of capital equipment experience preferred.
• Minimum of 3 years’ successful experience in sales; experience in a metal manufacturing environment preferred.

Skills

• Demonstrated sales skills.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint.
• Ability to make professional presentations to large groups of people.

Pay

Base salary range for this position is $60,000 to $80,000 annually, with a bonus target of 3%. Shift premium may be available depending on the specific job opportunity.
