Job Summary

Sell and manage HVAC System service contracts and retrofit projects for end-user and property management customers.

Marketing/sales

  • Customer development and retention
  • Estimating and budgeting
  • Written proposals
  • Planning and scheduling
  • Cost control
  • Ensuring quality and performance
  • Timely invoices of all work completed to date
  • Conscientious follow-up on collection of money due to ensure positive cash flow

Supervision of field crews

  • Safety awareness, training, promotion
  • Warranty administration

Qualifications

  • At least 3 years of experience in HVAC or services-related sales
  • At least 1 year of experience with Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook
  • High school diploma or GED
  • Preferred: HVAC Service experience, Bachelor’s Degree, HVAC sales and presentation experience, detailed oriented, strong desire to provide excellent customer service, high sense of urgency, highly motivated to achieve, good mechanical aptitude, self-starter, ability to work well as part of a team and independently, ability to use time productively, maximize efficiency, and meet challenging work goals, ability to take on additional responsibilities as needed, determine and manage priorities with minimal guidance, exceptional work ethic, demand the highest standard of conduct from self and others, commitment to accuracy and quality while meeting goals or deadlines, ability to demonstrate a commitment to safety, smoke-free and drug-free workplace

Working Conditions and Physical Efforts

  • Moderate exposure to elements, such as hot/cold temperatures, dirt, dust, and/or loud noises
  • Some exposure to construction, mechanical, and electrical-related hazards or physical risks, which require following basic safety precautions
  • Moderate physical effort. Requires handling of average weight objects up to 50 pounds and extensive standing and walking
  • Local and occasional out-of-town travel to job sites and customer locations
  • Physical ability to climb permanent and temporary stairs, passenger use of construction personnel hoists, ability to climb ladders and scaffolds, and to negotiate work areas under construction
