About the role

LaForce, a leading provider of doors, hardware, and building solutions, is seeking a dynamic and motivated Account Manager in its Columbus, OH location. The ideal candidate will build connections with general contractors, uncover new business opportunities, and drive the success of exciting construction projects.

Responsibilities

  • Meet or exceed sales budgets and develop relationships with new customers while supporting existing relationships and customers.
  • Work closely with general contractors, building and strengthening partnerships to position LaForce as their trusted resource.
  • Actively analyze bids and leverage knowledge to develop winning strategies, ensuring project margins align with company goals.
  • Scout out work, follow up on quotes, and research new projects to maintain a steady pipeline of opportunities.
  • Structure daily and weekly activities to prioritize face-to-face customer development.
  • Provide technical solutions to field challenges, further solidifying your role as a go-to resource for clients.
  • Expand relationships by introducing contractors to LaForce's full range of products and services.
  • Attend industry meetings and events, showcasing LaForce's reputation for excellence.

Requirements

  • A bachelor’s degree in Business, Sales, or Marketing, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • 2-5 years of relevant sales experience, or 2-5 years of military experience as a substitute.
  • Analytical thinking to evaluate bids, interpret technical documents, and make strategic decisions.
  • Strong communication skills to present ideas effectively, negotiate with clients, and build connections across diverse audiences.

  • Results-driven professional with technical expertise and exceptional interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to organize and plan daily and weekly activities to prioritize customer development.
