Account Manager

About the role

The Account Manager will serve as the primary point of contact for key customer accounts within a manufacturing environment. This individual will build and maintain long-term customer relationships, support commercial activities, and collaborate closely with internal teams to ensure successful execution of customer programs.

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain long-term customer relationships
• Serve as the voice of the customer internally and the voice of the company externally
• Coordinate RFQs, quotations, pricing activities, and customer requests
• Partner with internal departments to resolve quality, delivery, and commercial issues
• Conduct account reviews, forecasting, and strategic planning activities
• Maintain customer satisfaction and identify opportunities to improve account performance
• Ensure successful communication and collaboration throughout the product lifecycle

Requirements

• Account management experience within a manufacturing environment
• Automotive OEM, Tier 1, or Tier 2 supplier experience
• Rfq ownership, quotation preparation, and proposal management
• Commercial experience including pricing, contract discussions, profitability reviews, and customer negotiations
• Ability to work cross-functionally with Engineering, Quality, Purchasing, Supply Chain, Operations, and Manufacturing teams
• Experience managing customer issues, quality concerns, engineering changes, and ongoing account support
• Strong customer relationship management and communication skills
• Proficiency in ERP systems, Microsoft Excel, and business reporting tools
• Experience conducting business reviews, forecasting, and account planning
