Account Manager
About the Role
The Account Manager is accountable for direct sales and customer service support to Automation-X’s customers, focusing on new customer growth and increasing regional market share. This position involves customer-facing visits, phone, email, and cold calling. The Account Manager works with customers across all areas of their operations, both in the field and at the corporate office, to deliver Automation-X’s products and solutions, ensuring sales goals are met. Reporting to the Director, National Sales, the Account Manager is also an employee owner in Automation-X’s Employee Stock Ownership Plan (ESOP), contributing to the company’s 100% employee-owned culture.
Responsibilities
- Build and maintain detailed knowledge of Automation-X’s products and solutions
- Deliver and exceed sales targets
- Build and manage the sales pipeline
- Increase regional market share
- Attract and retain key customers
- Conduct timely reporting of customer meetings, conference calls, and expenses
- Manage external and internal correspondence
- Build and maintain customer relationships
- Ensure retention and growth of existing customers
- Travel for face-to-face customer meetings
- Enter customer interactions into the CRM system
- Collaborate with the regional sales team on account strategies
- Maintain and enhance customer satisfaction with Automation-X’s products and solutions
Requirements
- Minimum of a High School Diploma
Qualifications
- Takes pride in exceeding customer needs and Automation-X goals & KPI’s
- Strong attention to detail to ensure accurate automation solutions
- Excellent customer relations skills for proactive engagement
- Solid verbal and written communication skills
- Strong computer skills, including MS Word, Excel, Outlook, and CRM systems
- Ability to represent Automation-X professionally and build strong customer relationships
- Oil & Gas Automation experience preferred
- Understanding of power, communication, measurement, control, and electrical aspects of wellhead products a plus
- Ability to collaborate with internal departments for customer engagement and satisfaction
Working Conditions
The Account Manager role is a hybrid position operating in a professional office environment and remotely. Some travel may be required.
