Account Manager

About the role

Ascendum is looking for a solutions-focused Business Development Representative who loves connecting people, building long-term relationships, and creating new opportunities. Based in Cincinnati, this person will help grow our IT and digital services business by uncovering new prospects, deepening existing client partnerships, and collaborating closely with our delivery and marketing teams.

Responsibilities

• Uncover new prospects and deepen existing client partnerships.
• Collaborate with delivery and marketing teams to create meaningful, measurable business outcomes.
• Turn conversations into opportunities through networking and relationship building.
• Match client needs with the right talent and solutions.
• Represent Ascendum at in-person networking events in the Cincinnati area.
• Actively expand your professional network.
• Use modern sales tools (CRM, outreach platforms, LinkedIn, etc.) to improve prospecting, pipeline management, and client engagement.
• Partner with marketing on sales targets, campaigns, and lead-generation efforts.
• Provide feedback on messaging, events, and lead-generation strategies.

Requirements

• 2–3+ years of proven success in sales within the IT/digital staffing or technology services industry.
• Demonstrated track record as a connector and relationship builder.
• Ability to cultivate trust with clients and internal teams.
• Strong organizational skills with a focus on prioritization, pipeline management, and goal achievement.
• Comfortable using modern sales tools (CRM, outreach platforms, LinkedIn, etc.).
• Experience partnering with marketing on sales targets and campaigns.

Skills

• Excellent presentation and communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Strong proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
• Ability to understand client requirements and translate them into tailored solutions.
• Creative thinking to open doors and deepen relationships.
