About the role

Aon is hiring an Account Manager for its Affinity Healthcare division. This is a virtual position, preferred working location in the EST or CST time zones. Key commitments include delivering outstanding service and innovative solutions, managing and retaining high-value healthcare accounts, and supporting the growth of the Affinity Healthcare portfolio.

Responsibilities

  • Manage and retain a portfolio of high-value healthcare accounts, including healthcare businesses and practices, educational institutions, and DSOs
  • Serve as the primary relationship lead for clients and brokers, ensuring consistent communication and service delivery
  • Proactively identify retention risks and develop strategies to maintain and grow accounts
  • Closely coordinate with underwriting to deliver high-quality renewal outcomes
  • Lead renewal discussions, pricing reviews, and negotiations, and prepare client presentations
  • Build and maintain positive relationships with clients and key broker partners
  • Provide insights on coverage solutions, industry trends, and market conditions
  • Manage accounts serviced directly with clients and those supported through strategic broker relationships
  • Deliver a high-touch, personalized service experience for large and complex accounts
  • Respond promptly to client and broker inquiries
  • Own retention goals and renewal targets and outcomes for the assigned portfolios
  • Maintain accurate forecasting and provide regular updates to leadership
  • Seek opportunities to strengthen client relationships and support long-term portfolio growth
  • Contribute to retention strategies and business planning initiatives across the Affinity Healthcare Division
  • Provide elevated service models for large, complex, high-premium accounts
  • Handle partner and broker concerns and resolve issues quickly and effectively
  • Continuously improve the client experience through proactive engagement
  • Collaborate across underwriting, operations, marketing, sales, and customer service teams to ensure seamless support

Requirements

  • 5-7 years of experience in account management, client retention, or relationship management, preferably within the insurance or financial services industry
  • Valid P&C license
  • Demonstrated track record of handling and maintaining high value client relationships in the insurance MGA or carrier space
  • Experience working with brokers, agents, and direct client relationships
  • Experience developing and providing feedback on commercial lines operations
  • Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills
  • Strong analytical and negotiation abilities
  • Strong planning and organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and consistently meet deadlines
  • Ability to efficiently implement critical initiatives and deliver measurable results
  • Self-starter with the ability to work independently while collaborating effectively across teams
  • High-reaching approach with a focus on achieving and exceeding sales targets

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree preferred or equivalent years of industry experience

The salary range for this position (intended for U.S. applicants) is $65,000 to $80,000 annually. The actual salary will vary based on applicant’s education, experience, skills, and abilities, as well as internal equity and alignment with market data. The salary may also be adjusted based on applicant’s geographic location.
