About the role
The Account Manager II is responsible for working with Advisors/Client Executives and Account Executives to service client accounts. This position requires day-to-day client servicing for a specific set of clients, involving verbal, electronic, and written communications. The Account Manager II manages the renewal and marketing process, prepares materials for presentations, and collaborates with senior team members. Work is completed with independent discretion while developing relationships with clients and carrier contacts to deliver services proactively and efficiently. In addition to managing their own clients, this role may support the Account Management Team as assigned.
We offer the flexibility of either a hybrid work arrangement from our regional Northeast offices or a fully remote arrangement available to candidates located in any U.S. city. The required work schedule is Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM Eastern Standard Time (EST), regardless of residential time zone.
Responsibilities
- Works proactively to develop relationships with carrier and client contacts; may take an active role in meetings.
- Prepares and sends requests for proposals to applicable insurance carriers and compiles results as they come in.
- Drafts the first version of renewal presentations.
- Takes the lead on reviewing proposals and carrier source documents for accuracy in collaboration with the Account Executive or Advisor/Client Executive.
- Begins to communicate directly with clients and carriers, with approval from the Account Executive or Advisor/Client Executive.
- Creates and maintains client files in accordance with office procedures; may be responsible for keeping client policy records in the agency management system.
- Serves as the first line of response for billing questions from clients and insurance company personnel, with assistance from the Accounting Department when necessary.

- Flexibility and adaptability to changing priorities, deadlines, and technology.
- When working from home, maintain a private workspace to secure company equipment and correspondence, ensure high-speed internet, remain present and responsive online, and minimize personal interruptions during your work shift.
Qualifications
- High School Degree required; Associate’s degree (or equivalent) preferred.
- More than 3 years of client service and/or industry and product line experience.
- P&C Insurance License required.

Pay
The base salary range for this position is $47,000 – $60,000. The base salary offered will be determined by factors including, but not limited to, experience, credentials, education, certifications, skill level required for the position, the scope of the position, and geographic location. Actual base salary offered will be determined on a case-by-case basis. In addition to the base salary, this position may be eligible for performance-based incentives.
